In Honor of Black History Month

February 14, 2024 5:43 PM | Anonymous

APAC member Camille Dyer PA-C is not only taking care of cardiology patients - she is also investing in teaching students about the PA profession.  As a member of the African Heritage PA Caucus, her commitment to advocating for patients, students, and education with the caucus is admirable. She has been involved with Project Access in multiple states during its relaunch in 2023 and most recently in New Jersey. This was an opportunity to speak to over 120 fourth and fifth-graders about the PA Profession. "It was truly an amazing experience, and the interaction with the students was so rewarding”, said Camille. She is also grateful for the coordination through her involvement with the T. LeRoy Jefferson Medical Society, which is a constituent organization of the National Medical Association (NMA), to be involved in educating students on the PA Profession at a STEM middle school and high school in her home state of Southeast Florida. Thank you to Camille and the African Heritage PA Caucus, for all that you do for the next generation of PAs!
